You’re never too old to be social media savvy. If you don’t believe me, just ask Josie Dimples (@j_dimps). She’s the 80-year old grandmother from Staten Island, who’s proving that Twitter isn’t just for celebrities.
The youthful senior started a Twitter account with a little help from her grandson after her husband died, saying she was simply “bored”. Josie attracted attention when she publicly announced her goal was to have more than 80,000 followers before she dies.

Since then, Josie’s popularity has soared, even being featured in People’s magazine. Celebrities, such as Jennifer Lopez and Rhianna, have quickly flocked to follow Josie and help her with her mission.
Since making the public plea for followers, Josie has become a celebrity herself. She’s reached her goal and is now appearing on national TV shows.
It just goes to show you that it’s never too late!
